Journalist Luca Cilli reported on the social network X that Bologna has shown interest in Baltika Kaliningrad's 25-year-old Malian defender Nathan Gassama. The 'Rossoblu' consider Gassama a possible replacement for Colombia national team player Jhon Lucumí, who moved to Juventus. Bologna had initially intended to sign Fedde Leysen from Union Saint-Gilloise but later decided not to pursue that signing. Gassama, who has six caps for Mali, joined Baltika Kaliningrad in August 2023 and has a contract until June 30, 2028. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.50m. Gassama has also been linked with Torino.
