Olympique Marseille and Olympique Lyon have both inquired about Dutch winger Myron van Brederode, whose recent performance, including two goals against Standard Liege, has attracted their interest. The 23-year-old player joined KV Mechelen in September 2025, and the club is reluctant to sell him. A fee of around ten million euros is reportedly being asked for by KV Mechelen, which is currently a deterrent. Reports from May and August 2026 had indicated a target fee of €7-€10 million. Both French clubs view Van Brederode as a player to strengthen their attack. Other unnamed parties have also become interested. The player has 18 caps for the Netherlands U21 team, is under contract with Mechelen until mid-2029, and has a current market value of €4.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
