Mustafa Kourouma Transfer from Rot-Weiss Essen to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen
Kicker has reported on the transfer of Mustafa Kourouma from Rot-Weiss Essen to Regionalligist Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. The 22-year-old center-back, who had been with RWE since 2020, has played in 37 matches in the 3rd league. According to Dennis Lichtenwimmer-Conversano, the Sporting Director at RWO, the season highlighted the necessity to bolster the center-back position. He mentioned that they had engaged with Kourouma early because he possesses numerous qualities that align with their playing style. Additionally, Kourouma is from the region, is at a developing age, and has already gained substantial experience in the 3rd league.
Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, a club in the Regionalliga West, is also interested in signing Mustafa Kourouma. They are considered to have a better chance of completing the transfer compared to Lok Leipzig.
According to a report by RevierSport, Mustafa Kourouma will part ways with Rot-Weiss Essen in the summer after five years with the club. The 22-year-old central defender is expected to join Regionalliga club Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, where he is anticipated to help the team achieve promotion to Liga 3, a goal they are likely to miss this season. Transfermarkt currently estimates his market worth at 150k euros.
