Murray Johnson has joined Shelbourne FC on loan from Hibernian FC until the end of the 2026 season, subject to ITC. The 21-year-old goalkeeper is a product of Hibernian’s academy and has previously had loan spells with Airdrieonians, Queen of the South, and Greenock Morton. Johnson, who has represented Scotland at underage international level, stated he was very happy to be signing for the club. He said that speaking with the gaffer and Paul made his decision very easy, describing Shelbourne as a huge club and the timing as exciting due to Europe and the league. Shelbourne FC Head Coach John Russell said they were delighted to bring Johnson to the club, noting he is a Scottish underage international with valuable senior experience from loan spells. Russell believes the move is the right next step in his development and that he will add real competition to the goalkeeping group. Shelbourne FC Technical Director Luke Byrne added that Muzz will be a really good addition to their goalkeeping department.
