Hibernian have loaned out goalkeeper Murray Johnson to Greenock Morton until the end of the season. The director added that this is an excellent opportunity for him to test himself at a very competitive level in the Scottish Championship, and that they look forward to monitoring his progress closely and wish him the best at Greenock Morton.

Greenock Morton has announced the signing of 21-year-old goalkeeper and Scotland U21 international Murray Johnson on loan from Hibernian. Johnson, who has prior Championship experience from a short-term loan at Airdrieonians last season, joins the club before a period with many fixtures. Greenock Morton thanked Hibernian for their assistance in facilitating the transfer. The goalkeeper will wear the number 31 shirt. Johnson joined Hibernian in July 2024 and his contract there runs until May 2027. He has made five appearances in the Challenge Cup this season.
