KRC Genk has arranged for Mujaid Sadick, a 26-year-old Spanish-Nigerian defender who was considered a redundant player, to return to Spain, where he has signed for Celta de Vigo on loan. Sadick, who joined Genk from Deportivo La Coruña in July 2021 for a reported €1.7 million, remains under contract with the Belgian club until June 2028. His current market value is €5.00m, according to Transfermarkt. Before the move, he was also linked with Rayo Vallecano and Lazio. Reports from August 2026 suggested a potential transfer fee of around €5 million, and an €8 million release clause was mentioned earlier in the year.
