He has a contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach until 2029, and sporting director Rouven Schröder is reportedly hoping for a payment of at least 15 million euros. The Bundesliga club has identified Tjark Ernst of Hertha BSC as a potential replacement, who is available for a fixed fee of five million euros.
