Mohamed El Adfaoui has been promoted to the first team of AA Gent and has signed a new contract extending until 2028. He became part of AA Gent in 2023 after spending seven years in the youth academy at Anderlecht. The 17-year-old midfielder is regarded as a significant talent within the club and impressed during the preparation with a goal against Kalken and an assist against Charleroi. He had previously made two substitute appearances during the play-offs last season. El Adfaoui expressed his gratitude for the trust the club has shown in him, saying that he joined KAA Gent two years ago and has developed very well there.
