Manchester United have identified 18-year-old French striker Mohamed Kader Meite from Rennes as a target, sending scouts to observe him during a France under-21 match earlier this month. The scouts were also tasked with watching his Rennes teammate, centre-back Jeremy Jacquet. Both players are considered highly-rated talents across Europe as Manchester United looks to build a team for the future. Meïté joined Rennes in November 2024 and is under contract until 2028; he has two goals and two assists in 11 Ligue 1 appearances this season. The forward has also been linked with Chelsea. He is valued by Transfermarkt at €8.00m.
