The contract of Mikael Ishak with Lech Poznań expires at the end of the current season. The club's sporting director, Tomasz Rząsa, stated that the club desires to continue its cooperation with Ishak and will search for a solution that is satisfactory to all parties. Rząsa also acknowledged that Ishak will get many offers from other clubs.

Mikael Ishak is in discussions with Lech Poznań about a contract extension. Ishak is willing to accept a reduced role, even as a substitute, but financial aspects from the club's perspective could be an issue. According to user DomasLP, both sides are transparent in the talks. Piotr Rutkowski stated that the player can accept a new reality, but that nothing has been decided yet.

Mikael Ishak stated in an interview with the weekly 'Piłka Nożna' that Lech Poznań will always be his priority and that he does not rule out extending his stay in Poznań. He added that he will consider an offer first if he continues to perform well and receives one, and also mentioned that ending his career at Lech Poznań is an option.

Mikael Ishak's contract with Lech Poznań expires at the end of June 2027. Mateusz Borek stated that it will be very difficult to reach another contract extension with him. Ishak is 32 years old and is still considered to be in his prime. He has been investing a lot in Dubai and likes the place, which might influence his decision. Lech Poznań is looking for a new quality striker to eventually replace him.
