According to a report by 'WAZ', Schalke 04 is not optimistic about signing Mika Baur. Sebastian Lange, the sporting director of SC Paderborn, stated that as of today, there is no thought of allowing him to leave and that they have firm plans involving him.

Schalke 04 are among a group of clubs attempting to sign 21-year-old German midfielder Mika Baur, and manager Miron Muslic highly rates the player. According to SkySportDE, Schalke are considering either a permanent transfer or a loan. Around four to five other Bundesliga clubs, including Mainz and Bremen, are also interested, along with clubs from abroad. Talks with all interested parties, including Schalke, have just begun. The valuation for Baur is approximately €3m, and his current club, Paderborn, wishes to extend his contract beyond 2027. Baur, who joined Paderborn in July 2024, has one cap for Germany's U21 team and a current Transfermarkt market value of €4.00m.
