Gigi Becali had previously announced that 25-year-old Romanian midfielder Mihai Lixandru would leave FCSB for a €600,000 fee, without naming the destination club. A transfer that had reportedly stalled a week ago has now been resolved. Al-Fateh, a team in the Saudi Pro League, paid FCSB the €600,000 fee for the player. Lixandru's new club in the Gulf region finished the prior season in 11th place with 37 points. His contract with FCSB was due to expire on June 30, 2029. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €900k.
