Interest in 21-year-old Zambian defensive midfielder Miguel Chaiwa was mentioned, but head coach David Gray said it was the first he had heard of it. His absence from the match was attributed to return schedules, not a transfer. Chaiwa, who has 16 international caps for Zambia, has made 12 appearances and scored one goal in the Scottish Premiership this season. He joined Hibernian from Young Boys in August 2025 for a reported €800,000 and his current contract runs until May 2028. Fiorentina and Celtic have been linked with the player, whose market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €1.20m.
