Michel Ange Balikwisha leaving Celtic?
Journalist David Friel believes Celtic will seek to move Michel-Ange Balikwisha out before the transfer window closes, with a loan move reportedly the most realistic route. Friel stated his belief that Celtic will try to remove the player from their wage bill for the season. According to Friel, there is still interest in the player due to his established reputation and his previous international appearances. Friel also suggested a temporary move could be the more realistic outcome rather than Celtic receiving £5 million at this time, stating he does not think anyone will pay that sum. He believes the player has a sufficient reputation in Belgium and the rest of Europe and thinks Celtic will secure a loan. Friel said he thinks Celtic may get a loan with an option to buy and that he believes the player will depart. Friel did not suggest that a deal is currently agreed or that a specific club has made an approach for the former Royal Antwerp player. The journalist's expectation is that the Hoops will be open to a loan deal, potentially with an option to buy.
