Hull City are attempting to sign Mert Kömür, a 21-year-old attacking midfielder, from FC Augsburg. The Premier League newcomers have reportedly held positive talks with the representatives of the Germany U21 international, but an agreement has not yet been finalised. While there are currently no club-to-club negotiations, FC Augsburg have been informed of the interest. Kömür is under contract with the German club until 2029 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €12.00m. Several other clubs, including Beşiktaş and Club Brugge, have also been associated with an interest in him. During the summer 2026 transfer window, Augsburg's asking price was reported to be €20 million, after a reported €12 million package offer from Besiktas was rejected in early 2026.
