According to Sky, 1. FC Kaiserslautern is signing German centre-forward Mërgim Berisha from TSG Hoffenheim. The signing is a reaction to an injury to Ivan Prtajin. The 27-year-old, two-time national player had fallen completely out of favor with the first team at Hoffenheim. The report states that no transfer fee is involved in the deal, but TSG will receive a very high resale percentage. Berisha joined TSG Hoffenheim in August 2023 for a reported fee of €14 million, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €2.50m.
