Iranian international Mehdi Taremi, 33, is considering returning to Iran due to the situation in his homeland. It is mentioned that there is a possibility of terminating his contract with the Greek club, Olympiacos Piraeus, in order to return to his homeland, despite having only joined in August 2025. The centre-forward has scored 10 goals in 16 league appearances this season and has an international record of 54 goals in 100 caps for Iran. Taremi reportedly confided to those close to him that his country needs him. His current market value is €2.50m, according to Transfermarkt. Nottingham Forest has been recently linked with the player.
