Manchester United were offered the chance to sign Mehdi Taremi by intermediaries acting on behalf of Inter Milan. Inter Milan is keen to sell the Iran international, but Manchester United declined the offer, as they have no intention of signing a striker in his 30s.

Inter have proposed a swap deal which would send Mehdi Taremi to Manchester United in exchange for Rasmus Højlund. However, Manchester United have made it clear that they are only interested in cash-only, permanent offers. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates Mehdi Taremi's market value at 3.50 million euros.
