ESPN BR reports a legal dispute between Mayke and Santos concerning his contract termination. Mayke and his staff intended to take the case to court to request the indirect termination of his contract. The parties had reached an agreement in recent days for the payment of outstanding amounts and the remainder stipulated in the contract, but a change by Santos aiming to reduce the previously agreed amounts caused a disagreement with the player. The legal department of Santos has become involved. Mayke has a contract with Santos until the end of 2027.

Mayke, a 33-year-old Brazilian right-back at Santos FC, who was dismissed by the coaching staff, is training separately and is considering going to court as well. He joined the club on 30/07/2025 and has a contract until 31/12/2027. In the 2025/2026 Série A season, he has made 3 appearances. His current market value is €1.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
