Hamburger SV is considering reinforcing its central defence and, according to FT, is monitoring Maxwell Gyamfi from 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Gyamfi is a 26-year-old German and Ghanaian national. He is considered a potential successor for Luka Vuskovic, who is 18, should the club be unable to retain the Croatian player beyond the summer. Gyamfi is a key player for his team and transferred from VfL Osnabrück in the summer. In the current 2. Bundesliga season, he has made 18 appearances. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €900k.
