Blackburn Rovers, along with Preston North End and Bolton, have an interest in KAA Gent's 22-year-old English striker, Max Dean. It is understood that the Belgian side wants £3.5 million for the former MK Dons player. Reports of a second, improved bid from Bolton are believed to be premature. Dean moved to Gent from MK Dons in July 2024 for a fee that was reported to be between £1.7 million and £2 million. The striker has scored four goals in four appearances for England U20, holds a contract with the Belgian club until 2028, and has a current market value of €2.50m according to Transfermarkt.
