Max Bird has joined Birmingham City from Championship rivals Bristol City on a three-year contract. Bird is the sixth summer addition for the Blues, following the arrivals of Jhon Solis, Dael Fry, James Beadle, Luis Vazquez, and Kristoffer Lund. Bird began his career at Derby County and became a highly sought-after midfielder in the Championship with Bristol City. He played only 15 league games last season due to injury but was a regular player in the Robins team that reached the play-offs under Liam Manning in 2024/25. Bird proved his fitness in pre-season and started in Bristol City’s Carabao Cup defeat to Walsall last week.
