According to Tuttomercato, several South American clubs, including Atletico Mineiro, have shown interest in Mauro Icardi. Mauro Icardi is currently without a team, as his contract with Galatasaray ended on June 30.

Atlético Mineiro is targeting free agent Mauro Icardi, a 33-year-old Argentine striker who has previously played for Inter, Paris Saint-Germain, and Galatasaray. The club is considering him as an alternative to Richarlison. With the Brazilian transfer window set to close soon, a move to South America remains a possibility for the forward. Icardi has 8 caps and 1 goal for Argentina and a current Transfermarkt market value of €4.00m. He has also been linked with several clubs in Europe, including Lazio and Juventus.
