Vicenza is preparing for the upcoming Serie B season and is seeking to strengthen its midfield with experienced players. According to Trivenetogoal.it, sporting director Giorgio Zamuner has identified 32-year-old Italian central midfielder Mattia Valoti as a potential signing. Valoti's contract with Spezia is due to expire at the end of June. He arrived at the club in January, scoring four goals in 16 appearances. Following Spezia's relegation to Serie C, he is considered unlikely to remain in Liguria, which would allow him to join Vicenza on a free transfer. A potential move is also supported by the existing relationship between Valoti and Zamuner from their time working together at SPAL. His current Transfermarkt market value is €600k, and he has two caps for Italy's U20 team. Cesena and Sampdoria have also previously been linked with the midfielder.
