Reports from Italy claim Liverpool have taken a close interest in Atalanta full-back Matteo Ruggeri. A January deal looks out of the question but remains a possibility in the summer. Both Manchester United and Manchester City are also reported to be keen on Ruggeri.

Liverpool is interested in acquiring Atalanta defender Matteo Ruggeri to strengthen their left-back position due to recent poor performances from their current left-back, Andy Robertson. The interest is reported by TBR Football, and Liverpool has scouted the defender and been impressed by his quality. However, Atalanta has no intention of parting ways with Ruggeri in the January transfer window.
