U.S. Cremonese communicated that the renewal clause in Matteo Bianchetti's contract has been triggered for the 2026/27 season, in accordance with the existing contract.

Matteo Bianchetti, a 33-year-old Italian centre-back, will remain with Cremonese in Serie B. According to Cuoregrigiorosso, a contract renewal clause was triggered due to the number of appearances made by Bianchetti this season (27 appearances in the league and one in Coppa Italia). The renewal is for one additional year. Bianchetti joined Cremonese in August 2019 and his contract is now set to expire on June 30, 2027.
