Derby County have held talks with Saudi Arabian boxing tycoon, Turki Alalshikh, over potential investment. Football League World understands that Matt Targett, a 30-year-old English and Scottish left-back, is the latest target for Derby for the upcoming summer transfer window. Targett recently returned to the Magpies following a season-long loan on Teesside. His contract in the North East is concluding, and he is set to leave Eddie Howe's side on a free transfer at the end of next month. FLW has learned that the Rams are prepared to compete with Boro to sign Targett. The former England U21 international has 13 caps and a current Transfermarkt market value of €3.50m.
