Deportivo Cali manager Rafael Dudamel confirmed that the club is close to selling 18-year-old Colombian defensive midfielder Matías Orozco to European football. Dudamel stated in a press conference that negotiations are at an advanced stage, with only final details remaining to be settled. While the manager did not name a club, Orozco's destination is likely to be in England. Liverpool and Brentford are two interested teams. The estimated fee to sign the player is around 6 million euros. Orozco, who has been capped three times for Colombia's U21 team, joined Deportivo Cali in July 2025 and has a contract until June 30, 2029. In the 2025/2026 domestic league season, he made 14 appearances and scored one goal. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.40m.
