Matías Viña, a 28-year-old Uruguayan left-back, is not going to be considered for River Plate and is among the players who will not return after being with their national teams. The Uruguayan international has 44 caps for his country and is currently on loan from CR Flamengo. According to Transfermarkt, he has a market value of €3.50m. Olympiakos Piraeus and Panathinaikos have been recently linked with the player. River Plate acquired him on loan in January 2026 for a fee reported to be around €428,000, with a conditional purchase obligation of approximately €4.7 million. In December 2025, it was reported that Flamengo rejected bids of up to €4 million for Viña, with an asking price of €6 million at the time.
