El Elche has loaned central defender Matía Barzic to Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa, a newly promoted team to Segunda División, for the upcoming season. This is the second consecutive loan for the 21-year-old Croatian defender, who played the second half of the last season with Deportivo Eldense in Segunda División. Barzic has a contract with Elche until 2028.

CD Lugo, a team competing in the Spanish third division, is reportedly interested in Mattia Barzić.
