Globo.com reports that Corinthians has arranged to extend the loan of goalkeeper Matheus Donelli to Shabab Al Ahli, from the United Arab Emirates, until December 31, 2026. The negotiation is in legal proceedings and is expected to be formalized in the coming days. Shabab Al Ahli will continue to fully cover the 24-year-old player's salary. Donelli was released by Corinthians at the beginning of February but has not yet been listed by his new team. According to the athlete's staff, foreign goalkeepers need to obtain a local passport and meet the documentary requirements of the country's authorities to be registered and cleared to play in the championships. Corinthians views a new loan for the goalkeeper favorably, as he is without space in the team led by Fernando Diniz. His contract with the club is valid until June 30, 2028.

Matheus Donelli, a 23-year-old Brazilian-Italian, has been loaned by Corinthians to Shabab Al Ahli of the United Arab Emirates until mid-2026. The Dubai-based club will cover the player's salary in full. This concludes a process in which the Corinthians board had been attempting to negotiate his transfer since the previous year. Donelli was absent from training on Friday because he was released to travel and undergo medical examinations to finalize the move. Corinthians did not specify if the deal includes an option or an obligation to buy at the end of the loan. Donelli had become the fourth-choice goalkeeper at the club and has a contract until June 2028. He joined Corinthians in March 2021 and has one cap for the Brazil U23 team. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €1.50m.
