Genoa's transfer officials are focusing on Serbia and are interested in Mateja Gašić, the captain of Radnik. The 2003-born right-back is considered a potential replacement for Brooke Norton-Cuffy if the club receives a very high offer for him. Gašić has also shown versatility by playing on the left during the recently concluded season, a quality that manager De Rossi desires in his players. The Serbian youth international has two caps for the U19 team, joined his current club in July 2023, and has a contract that runs until 2027.
