Granada's 27-year-old Cameroonian midfielder, Martin Hongla, is the subject of interest from both Rubin Kazan and Aris. According to africafoot, which confirmed prior reports from Spanish media, Granada is keen to move the player on, either through a transfer or a mutual termination of his significant contract. The same outlet identifies Aris and Rubin Kazan as the two clubs that have expressed interest. Aris previously pursued Hongla in early June, reaching an agreement with both the player and Granada before the transfer fell apart over bureaucratic visa issues concerning his family. Although Hongla’s reported preference was to stay in Spain to be near his family, africafoot notes that Granada's position is compelling him to evaluate his other opportunities. Hongla is under contract with the Spanish club until June 2027 and has a market value estimated by Transfermarkt at €1.8 million.
