Marius Ștefănescu was offered to Legia Warszawa, but the transfer did not materialize as the coach, Edward Iordănescu, reportedly showed no interest in signing the Romanian winger. According to a report by Sebastian Staszewski on Meczyki.pl, Ștefănescu, who is 26 years old and made his debut for the Romanian national team under Iordănescu's management, was initially sold to FCSB for 1.3 million euros. However, a disagreement with FCSB's owner, Gigi Becali, prompted him to seek a transfer during the summer window. Eventually, Ștefănescu joined Konyaspor in Turkey for a fee of 300,000 euros after the Legia deal did not go through. His contract with the Turkish club is due to expire on June 30, 2028, and his market value is assessed by Transfermarkt to be €1.20 million.
