On Thursday, Västerås SK confirmed on its website its acquisition of 22-year-old Danish player Marcus Baggesen from IFK Norrköping, and both clubs have announced the deal. The acquisition follows the sale of Max Larsson by Västerås SK to Djurgården on Wednesday evening, with Baggesen serving as his replacement at left-back. Billy Magnusson, the sports director for Västerås SK, expressed satisfaction, describing the Danish wingback as suitable for their playing style and as possessing the qualities the club sought for the position. Magnusson stated that the club has followed Baggesen for a long time, knows him well, and believes he will develop significantly with them. He also highlighted the player's valuable experience in Allsvenskan, noting that Baggesen has played 53 league matches despite his young age. Baggesen previously moved to Norrköping from Silkeborg IF in 2023. His contract with the club is set to expire on 31/12/2028, and his current market value is €400k, according to Transfermarkt.
