Marcel Wędrychowski leaving Pogoń Szczecin?
GKS Katowice has finalized the permanent transfer of Marcel Wędrychowski, who was previously associated with Pogoń Szczecin. The offensive midfielder or winger signed a contract valid until June 30, 2028, with an option to extend for another 12 months.
Marcel Wędrychowski is set to transfer from Pogoń Szczecin to GKS Katowice. Despite earlier reports suggesting a move to Arka Gdynia, it has been confirmed by Tomasz Włodarczyk from Meczyki.pl that he will join GKS Katowice. The transfer will be on a free transfer basis, as the player did not accept a contract extension offer from Pogoń Szczecin.
Widzew Łódź is interested in acquiring Marcel Wędrychowski as part of their efforts to strengthen the team ahead of the next season. Despite having a contract until June 30, 2026, he may seek new challenges since his position as the first choice of coach Robert Kolendowicz is uncertain. Widzew Łódź aims to compete in European competitions in the upcoming season. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates his market worth at 100k euros.
