Marca reports that 25-year-old Spanish defender Manu Fernández has transferred to Cádiz for the next three seasons. An agreement was finalized last night, and the player is already en route to his new club. The deal was structured as a transfer because Celta had reached its limit for domestic loans, but the club has retained a buy-back option. The central defender had also attracted interest from clubs in Spain's Primera and in Italy, but he decided against waiting until the end of the market for those possibilities to develop, instead choosing one of several options he had in the Segunda división. Fernández joined Celta in July 2025 and made 14 appearances in LaLiga during the 2025/2026 season. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €1.50m.
