Manolo Gabbiadini Transfer from Al Nasr to Sampdoria
Manolo Gabbiadini resolved his contract with Al-Nasr in the United Arab Emirates, with six months remaining on his agreement. Following this, suggestions of a third move to Sampdoria emerged, partly driven by social media. Sampdoria had previously sold Gabbiadini to the Dubai club for a fee that was considered low at the time. This transfer took place after the Italian club was relegated to Serie B. However, an immediate return to Genova is not expected. It is nearly certain that Gabbiadini will stay in Dubai as a free agent until the following summer, a decision primarily related to fiscal reasons. A new Italian tax regime for returning workers, which became effective on December 29, 2023, permits 50 percent of income up to €600,000 to be non-taxable for individuals who have been fiscally absent for a minimum of three years and who re-establish their residency. The player's objective is to be fiscally absent for the years 2024, 2025, and 2026. A potential return could occur from July 1, 2026, a situation that will require Sampdoria to consider other offensive players.
