Tuttomercato reports that 29-year-old Italian midfielder Giacomo Calò was close to joining Sampdoria. However, Frosinone manager Massimiliano Alvini confirmed that he intervened and told the player he would not be leaving. Alvini added that the club is happy to have Calò and that the ownership believed in him as they aim to achieve safety. Calò joined Frosinone in July 2026, and his contract runs until June 2029. His current market value is €2.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
