23-year-old Malian international midfielder Mamady Diambou has completed his transfer from Red Bull Salzburg to Brest. Stade Brestois 29 confirmed that an agreement had been reached with Red Bull Salzburg for the player, who has signed a two-season contract with an option for an additional year. The Austrian club also announced the move, stating that Diambou departs after five and a half years to play in the French Ligue 1. The midfielder has two caps for Mali. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €1.50m. In October 2025, reports indicated Red Bull Salzburg would not sell the player for less than €5 million.
