Picerno has announced that it has acquired forward Mamadou Kanoute from Trapani on loan with an option to buy. General Manager Vincenzo Greco stated that Kanoute is a very valuable addition. Greco mentioned that Kanoute has played for important top-level clubs such as Juve Stabia, Benevento, Catanzaro, Palermo, Avellino, and Taranto. He described the player as someone who is very familiar with the category, and who has quality, personality, and hunger. Greco added that many important teams were interested in Mamadou, but Picerno was successful in acquiring him. He believes his arrival adds offensive weight, experience, and leadership, which further increases the quality level of the team and their project.

After playing the first part of the season with Perugia, attacking winger Mamadou Kanoutè will have a new experience in Serie C. The player will first return to Trapani as his loan ends, and will then be sent to Picerno on a loan that includes an option to buy.
