Sampdoria's CEO Sport Fredberg is interested in Pisa's 24-year-old Danish midfielder Malthe Højholt, a 2001-born player who has had limited playing time this season, playing just five minutes in the last four matches. A potential negotiation for Højholt could be facilitated by a separate financial obligation, as Sampdoria must pay Pisa eighty thousand euros in compensation for a cancelled friendly match. This friendly was part of the previous transfer that resulted in the winger Beruatto joining the Genoa-based club. Højholt joined Pisa in August 2024 and has a contract until June 2027. He has two caps for the Denmark U19 team and his current market value is €1.20m.
