After ending his one-year loan at Lechia Gdańsk from Dynamo Kyiv, Maksym Diaczuk refused to return to his parent club. This led to another temporary move to Banik Ostrava, who have secured an option to buy him. Diaczuk stated that he wanted to join Banik from the moment his agent told him about the club's interest. He looked for information and found out that it is a strong brand, with the club having won four league titles and five national cups in its history. He also saw videos from the stadium and the atmosphere created by the Banik fans, which made him feel really interested. Diaczuk said he was eager for the new experience and promised that when he goes out on the pitch, he will always be fully committed to the success of the team.

Dynamo Kyiv announced on its website the transfer of central defender Maksym Dyachuk to Czech club Banik Ostrava. The 22-year-old player moved to the new team on a loan that lasts until the end of the 2026/27 season. Maksym's contract with Dynamo Kyiv is valid until 2028.

Czech media reports that Banik succeeded in signing Maksim Dyachuk ahead of several other contenders, particularly clubs from Spain.

Chornomorets was interested in loaning Maksym Dyachuk. According to journalist Mykhailo Spivakovsky, Chornomorets attempted to loan the player, but he refused to return to Ukraine.
