He highlighted a difference in valuation, noting that Spartak reportedly wants to sign the player for €3 million, while Akhmat is asking for €10 million. Sozin stated his belief that Samorodov would strengthen Spartak and that Akhmat's €10 million price is adequate under the current quota conditions. He reasoned that Akhmat understands the market and questioned why a Kazakhstan national team player and a leader at his club with a Russian passport could not be worth that amount, when another player like Solari might cost €12 million. Previous media reports had mentioned Spartak's interest in Samorodov. The Kazakhstani international has 33 caps and 5 goals for his country. He is under contract with Akhmat until June 2028.
