Majeed Ashimeru Transfer from Anderlecht to Genk

According to Africafoot, Majeed Ashimeru is expected to join KRC Genk when the winter transfer window opens. The 28-year-old Ghanaian midfielder has been sidelined from Anderlecht's professional squad since the beginning of the season and is dissatisfied with his treatment. He has received an exit permit from the club's management, despite his contract running until June 2027. He has reportedly reached an agreement with Genk. This follows a summer in which Krasnodar showed interest, and he was also linked with Olympiakos and Hamburg, a detail reported by Africafoot. Information from the player's entourage suggests he will sign a three-year contract with KRC Genk in the coming weeks in order to relaunch his career. The Belgian club is anticipated to pay a transfer fee of 1.5 million euros for the former RB Salzburg player, and he is expected to earn a salary of 600,000 euros per year. According to the website Transfermarkt, his market value is 700,000 euros. The international, who has 12 caps for Ghana, joined Anderlecht in July 2021 and has made one league appearance this season.
