APOEL has shown interest in Mahir Emreli, a 28-year-old forward from Azerbaijan. The Cypriot club is seeking a new striker after finishing fifth in the previous season. Emreli had also been recently linked with a potential return to Legia Warsaw, with media in his home country being the source of those reports. He is currently with 1.FC Kaiserslautern on a contract that expires on June 30, 2028, but the German club is reportedly not planning to prevent a transfer. It is not known if negotiations have begun with APOEL. Emreli, who joined his current club in July 2025, has 59 caps and 6 goals for Azerbaijan. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €700k.
