Voetbalprimeur.nl reported that a multi-million euro bid was made for Maas Willemsen, but the offer was rejected by Heerenveen. Heerenveen also wants to extend his contract.

Voetbalprimeur.nl reports there is growing interest in Maas Willemsen from top Dutch football clubs. Willemsen stated that at present he is happy to play for Heerenveen, but also said that should concrete interest from other clubs arise, he would be willing to listen to it.

Maas Willemsen, a 23-year-old Dutch central defender who plays for SC Heerenveen, has been extensively scouted by the 'top four' clubs in the Netherlands over the past months. Several German and Italian clubs are reportedly also monitoring him. Willemsen, who joined his current club in July 2025, has a contract until mid-2029. His current Transfermarkt market value is €1.50m.
