Maarten Vandevoordt leaving RB Leipzig?
Maarten Vandevoordt, a 23-year-old Belgian goalkeeper, is considering a club change if he is not the first-choice goalkeeper for the 2026/2027 season. According to Sky, the German club wants to decide in the winter whether to extend the expiring contract of the Hungarian goalkeeper, and Vandevoordt's future is largely dependent on this. The Belgian goalkeeper's contract with the club is valid until 2029. He joined from KRC Genk in 2024 for 10 million euros and has since played in 13 matches.
According to "Sky," the 23-year-old Belgian goalkeeper is seeking a transfer if he does not enter the upcoming season as the number one. His contract at RB Leipzig runs until June 30, 2029, and Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €8.00m.
