Turkish club Beşiktaş has contacted Anderlecht to explore a winter deal for Mario Stroeykens, a 21-year-old Belgian and DR Congolese attacking midfielder, proposing a loan with an option to buy. However, Anderlecht have rejected this approach, insisting on a permanent transfer. Stroeykens is under contract with the Belgian club until 2028, and it is reported that the club wants to use the funds from a sale to finance its own winter reinforcements. It is unclear if Beşiktaş possesses the financial means to complete a permanent purchase. In the 2025/2026 Jupiler Pro League season, Stroeykens has made 15 appearances and scored one goal. His market value is currently listed as €8.00m by Transfermarkt, and other clubs, including Olympique Marseille and West Ham United, have been linked with him in the past. Reports from September 2025 mentioned a €6.5 million bid from SC Braga, while in August 2025, it was suggested Anderlecht's asking price was between €6-10 million.
