Lyanco Transfer from Atlético Mineiro to Olympiakos Piraeus

Gazzetta.gr reports on Olympiacos' interest in Lyanco amidst Atletico Mineiro's reluctance to sell. Lyanco is on Olympiacos' list, but Atletico Mineiro, despite financial difficulties, does not want to sell him before next December.

According to Gazzetta.gr, Olympiacos is reportedly interested in acquiring Atlético Mineiro defender Lyanco. The 28-year-old Brazilian, who has previously played in Italy and England, is currently with Atlético Mineiro. Olympiacos has been keen on Lyanco for approximately two years and came close to signing him in a prior transfer window. Atlético Mineiro currently owns 50% of his rights, having purchased this stake from Southampton for about 2.8 million euros. The club has the option to acquire an additional 25% of his rights for approximately 1.4 million euros, provided certain conditions are met. Lyanco's contract extends until 2028, and Atlético Mineiro is open to negotiating the sale of their 50% stake. Despite Olympiacos' interest, no official offers have been made by them or any other potential buyers to date.

The name of Lianco, a 28-year-old Brazilian center-back with a Serbian passport, has resurfaced for Olympiacos. Globo reported that Olympiacos, along with Everton and Al Duhail, have shown interest in acquiring the experienced player, and some discussions are already underway and progressing. Lianco, who currently belongs to Atlético Mineiro, has previously attracted Olympiacos' interest at least twice in recent years. Transfermarkt currently estimates his market worth at 6.00m euros.
